It was not yet very cold but far from being warm. Amazing to think just a week ago daytime temps were in the 90s! Legwarmers, heated gloves, base layer, all needed today. And Kevin (not the pilot) was thinking maybe he’d not be terribly fast since he skipped Sunday’s ride, and Kevin (pilot) was pretending he might not be fast either.

Not a news flash that both were much faster than I was. Kevin (not the pilot) didn’t ride too quickly at first, then found his rhythm and was quickly out of sight. My job was to try and not let the other Kevin get too bored waiting for me. What a difference 10 or 20 degrees makes for me!
