Just some pretty pictures from Tanzania for now...

This was a BIG day, starting really early, so no time to get anything up really worthy of just how amazing the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is, but these initial photos will tell soem of the story. Tomorrow we head out to the Serengeti, then Lake Manyara and finally Tarangire before heading back home. I miss riding my bike, and I miss the shop, but of those two things it's the bike riding that's going to be the bigger issue, since the Redwood City store is in Becky & Mike F's capable hands while I'm gone. --Mike--

Yes, those are a pair of lion cubs and a lioness taking a break from the sun by hanging out underneath a car!

Cue the Miami Vice soundtrack for the Pink Flamingos.

Those floating objects in the water? Hippos.

In Africa, the right-of-way is very consistent. If you’re bigger, it’s yours. Cars over people, elephants over cars.

Bird with a bug. Good test of new lens I bought for the trip.
