Old news for sure.... still ready for it to get warmer! Sunday's ride was originally going to be the "regular" Pescadero/Tunitas loop, but after climbing Old LaHonda and descending the other side to the view point (opposite the carved rocks), we found ourselves looking at a coastline that... well, ok, we actually weren't looking at a coastline, because everything was fogged in. So we headed back up to Skyline, then south and descended Page Mill and looped through Los Altos & back home. Pretty nice weather on this side of the hill! Tuesday morning... still fog up in the hills! Didn't look too bad when we left, but we should have known, since PurpleAir showed it being 41F up on top. Which doesn't seem that cold until you realize it's only 2 degrees higher than 39F, and you'd DEFINITELY think 39F was cold! We headed south to the Skegg's Parking lot, then turned around and did the Swett Tunitas loop, but this time without heading down Tunitas to the grassy knoll, because it was just too darned cold. It would have been so much better had we simply brought along our lightweight rain jackets. Doh! Thursday, looks like more of the same. The weekend, more of the same. It will get warmer sometime, right? |
