Yes, more penguins, this time from Betty’s Bay, where there are far more Penguins, and far fewer people, than Simon’s Town (Boulders0, aka the penguin place in South Africa that’s much closer to Cape Town. Note penguins with a small “p” for Simon’s town.
Of course getting there is half, three quarters, seven eigths the fun, because it involves renting a car in a country where they drive on the wrong side of the road. Think that’s fun? Well you sorta get used to it after a while, but it’s really weird having the stick shift on your left, and navigating in crazy-crowded cities like Cape Town, well, it’s a wonder you come out of the experience mostly in one piece.
Tomorrow morning we’re off to Kruger for a short 2-day Safari, then fly back home on Tuesday evening. That first ride back on the bike, Thursday morning… it’s going to be tough!
