Just one rabbit, one crash, great views, smoother rideCan't spend much time writing tonight; have to get to bed soon so I can head to my daughter's first (of two) graduation ceremonies tomorrow at UC Santa Cruz. So the quick rundown... relative newguy Joe along with once-in-a-blue-moon Brian P, plus Eric, Kevin, Kevin, Marcus, Todd... I'll remember the rest later. Rode tubeless wheels for the first time, and yes, they are smoother, but not quite as much difference for me as for most, since my "normal" carbon Bontrager wheels have a rather exceptional ride with conventional tubes. Will be interesting to compare video of the same road sections shot with my regular wheels and the tubeless! Crash? Yes, Kevin (not the pilot) crashed in the gravel as he didn't realize until too late that everyone was stopping for a roadwork crew as we neared Sky Londa. Just a bit of skin lost from his knee, nothing requiring that the ride be cut short. More later! |
